The JAO has partnered with the families of long time members to provide scholarship funds to aid future officials in their officiating journey.
Contributions toward the scholarship fund, in memory of our esteemed members, not only honor their legacies but also support the education and training of the future generation of officials. The donations play a signification role in lowering the barrier for new officials to begin and continue working season after season.

Official shortages have become a problem in every sport, across the nation. Each year there are fewer and fewer new officials signing up while more and more existing officials are retiring. Our goal is to help boost recruitment with programs designed to help newer officials get started and feel comfortable on the fields, courts and diamonds.
Scholarship funds have been used to support new officials by providing uniforms and additional training opportunities. We believe these efforts are helping to recruit and retain officials; ensuring the teams in our community are getting the best possible officials working their contests. Thank you for your generosity and unwavering support. Your contributions will forever remain a testament to the enduring spirit of our departed members and the compassion within our community.
Thank you! - Jackson Area Officials Association |
